Just had a nice guy from the forum come and read my ecu with his Fault reader and was given a code cant find it anywhere can anyone help

the code is B0414 i dont know if you need the manufacturer of the reader but what ever it was it was reset giving my Gal a whole new lease of life.

This is the fault code reader used http://www.talktomycar.co.uk/Shop/Code_Readers/mj005.htm

one site said its temperature sensor

one said it was injector Valve B

Still Querying MAF though

can anyone verify for Gal 2.8 v6 auto ®

big thanks to stevoo for popping round

DTC B0414 Temperature Control #1 (Main/Front) Feedback Circuit Range/Performance Thats what i found but thats as much as you know

I also found this B0414 is for the left air temperature actuator.

If it was p0414 then that would be Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve A Circuit Shorted

Thanks Stevie M it was definitely B0414 therefore your first reply was spot on Is there any way of decifering your reply to normal english i.e whats wrong and what part is it etc

Thanks

heater box with dash removed i think you might be lucky and find its one of the ones on the right (near drivers legs)remove radio housing and centre console

that top one aint to hard to reach if you have a glove box but a bugger if you got an airbag

Stevoo,

Got myself one of those readers and its still doing the same thing looked on the manufacturers disc at the DTC info but cant find B0414 on there at all How can they give a code and not tell you what it is thats plain stupid.Dont know what OMG is i think that was a string from another person fault on mine.

going to have to get it read by proper VAG Com to get this one sorted i think.

it hasnt given the MAF error so it cant be that, wanna by a V6 he! he! he!

maybe its a gearbox ECU Code or something im completely lost now any ideas

OMG means oh my god.

As you have a Ford and engine is a VW have u tried calling both dealers to see if they recconise the fault code??

As i dont know wether your ECU is a ford one or a VW one?!?!

I had same issue with my mates Punto, gave a code and a weird description, went to local dealer and they found the code on their system. Turns out his ECU is dead
